Admission Requirements
Prospective Nutrition Science and Dietetics with Nutrition Emphasis students need to apply to the director of the Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (DP) in their sophomore year for offical acceptance as a BS Nuriton Science and Dietetics major. Successful completion of the prerequisite courses listed below with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 in the sciences and FDNT courses, is required for entry into BS Nutrtion Sciences and Dietetics. Upon acceptance into this professional program, the student will be officially concidered a BS Nutrition Science and Dietetics major with Nutrition Emphasis.
The Nutrition Science and Dietetics with Nutrition Science Emphasis is recommended for pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-PA, students wishing to have a nutrition science and health promotion emphasis as they prepare for medical, dental, public health or graduate schools. This BS also prepares students for dietetics registration eligibility.
