This major enables students to acquire a knowledge base that develops their capacity to work for an organization that operates in a global setting. Students who complete an International Business BBA will have skills necessary to work in a variety of industries and positions such as an international financial analyst, foreign exchange consultant, customs broker, international product/brand manager, foreign sales representative, or an international management consultant. This program is available on the main campus and in Vietnam. Dual Degree Option (available to main campus students only): This program is available as a dual degree with the Language for International Trade BA:

Major - 24
Take the following required courses:
Concentrations - 12
Students may select a concentration that suits their special area of interest, or take any combination of the courses listed below to meet the degree requirements. Choose a minimum of 12 credits from the following:
Finance/Accounting Concentration
Global Environment Concentration
Internship (International Focus)
International students will have their internship in a multinational company and do not need to go abroad if they do not want to or are not able to. US students will need at least one semester of international experience, including their internship. Recommended ACE Electives
The following courses should be taken as part of the ACE electives. - BHSC 225 - Global Social Issues Credits: 3
- ANTH 200 - Cultural Anthropology Credits: 3
- MUHL 250 - Music to Change the World Credits: 3
Additional Requirements
Students must complete the business core courses (39 credits) and the major required and elective courses (24 credits) with a minimum overall GPA of 2. 33. However, students must receive a minimum of a “C-” grade in each course. Courses where a grade less than a “C-” is received will not apply towards the business core or major requirements. All International Business students must earn at least a “C” letter grade in the following courses:ACCT 121 andACCT 122 .
Residence Requirement
Students must complete in residence in the School of Business Administration at Andrews University a minimum of 50% (31.5 credits) of the course work for the BBA degree (63 credits = 39 credits in the BBA core + 24 credits in BBA required/elective major courses). Transfer Credits
The School of Business Administration does not accept 100-200 level courses (i.e., lower division) as transfer work to replace 300-400 level courses (i.e., upper division). Student Learning Outcomes

- Students will be able to apply the strategic planning process to formulate innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Students will apply a Christian (Adventist) perspective to evaluating the social and ethical responsibilities of business.
Major Outcomes - Students will be able to explain how their courses in their Concentration in International Business integrated with the other functional areas of business.
- Students in International Business will be able to articulate that their understanding of Christian principles and ethics related positively to their professional careers.
- Students will be able to explain that the rigor and content of their International Business courses adequately prepared them for their careers in business.
