Credits: 3 Students apply the knowledge and skills used in previous I&E courses to the planning process required for new venture development. They explore the legal, regulatory, and ethical issues faced by innovators and entrepreneurs as well as what it takes to be an effective member of a new venture team. Upon completion of this course, students will develop a business plan or philanthropic proposal and present a needs analysis with regards to social innovation, patents, copyrights, funding, and venture capital.
