CHIS 625 - Seminar in Church-State Thought Credits: 2,3 A seminar that examines religious toleration and freedom and the relationship of church and state through the reading of primary sources. Includes classic writers such as Augustine, Aquinas, Calvin, Williams, Bayler, Locke, Jefferson, and Mill, and contemporary authors such as Neuhaus and Carter.
