PSYC 483 - Disaster Psychology Credits: 3 This course focuses on the psychological and physiological human response to natural and man-made disasters. Using research from the field, students will examine normal and abnormal reactions, the recovery process, resilience, and various disaster mental health response modalities. Differences between natural and man-made disasters are explored, along with factors that contribute to and mitigate post-traumatic effects.
