FILM 105 - Intro to Filmmaking Credits: 3 To the generation of digital natives, film has become one of the most dominant forms of visual media and personal expression. This studio course is a broad introduction to the collective elements of film production with a focus on nonfiction storytelling. This class explores both the art and craft of filmmaking, mixing aesthetic understanding with production techniques. Labs and instruction focus on storytelling, basic high-definition video production, and post-production. While designed to be an engaging introduction to filmmaking, students should be prepared to work toward the goal of the class–the creation of a non-fiction short film.
