BSAD 730 - Leadership and Corporate Governance

Credits: 3
This course is designed to provide students with the theory, the tools, and practices that will help them execute plans that will design the Corporate Governance framework, for an efficient use of resources and to equally require accountability for the stewardship of those resources. This course addresses the relationships and responsibilities of and among directors, senior management, institutional investors, and other stakeholders such as auditors (external and internal), suppliers, customers, employees, regulators, society as a whole, etc. The student will gain a perspective of the historical development of Corporate Governance especially in response to significant events affecting the integrity of capital markets and resulting in new legislation and/or regulatory requirements.
