INEN 520 - Minimum Viable Product

Credits: 3
Students grow ideas through advance prototyping in a creative maker-space. I&E players learn a variety of prototyping approaches and techniques ranging from the quick and dirty, useful for the brainstorming stage, to more precise and sophisticated, best for final design presentation. The focus of this course is for the student to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) that can be used for customer discovery and customer validation in future courses. Upon completion of this course, students will experiment with prototyping processes and reflect on successes and failures, apply discipline-specific methods of prototyping, and demonstrate the use of design thinking in prototyping through an iterative process.
