Mission

The Andrews University School of Social Work, through excellence in teaching, research, and service, prepares students to be effective, knowledgeable, and qualified for practice in the twenty-first century. Using a person and  environment perspective, graduates will enhance inividual, family, group, organizational, and community well-being, celebrate difference, and promote social and economic justice for vulnerable populations. As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian institution, we build and disseminate knowledge, values, and skills that positively impact local, national, and international communities; affirm faith by integrating Christian compassion in action within generalist and advanced generalist social work practice; and change the world by enhancing the quality of life for all people by upholding the traditions, values, and ethics of the social work profession.
