Program Description
The 3½-year professional degree program is designed for students who have previously earned an undergraduate degree in an unrelated area of study. Under this program, the student spends the first 2½ years completing undergraduate prerequisite architectural core courses. The final year is similar to the final year of the Master of Architecture 5½-year degree which results in the accredited professional degree. Admission Requirements
Application must be made online to the School of Graduate Studies & Research. In addition to meeting the application requirements of the School of Graduate Studies & Research, applicants should:
- Hold an undergraduate degree;
- Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0;
- Submit an online application.
- Submit a portfolio of work (this work need not be architectural in nature, it may include writing samples, drawings, photography, etc.) Original work will not be accepted.
- The following prerequisite courses may be required at the discretion of the Admissions Committee:
- ARCH 126 - Drawing and Graphics Studio
- ART 104 - Drawing I
- MATH 168 - Precalculus
- PHYS 141 - General Physics I
Upon acceptance, graduate standards of scholarship apply to all coursework.
