This concentration engages biblical themes through Middle Eastern eyes including historical, cultural, moral, and religious contexts which touch on honor/shame, race/ethnicity, individualism/collectivism, kinship/household, rules/relationships, purity/pollution, gender, slavery, and more. Arab, Islamic, Jewish, and Eastern Christianity are likewise explored against the lager biblical Great Controversy metanarrative.
