Computing Minor

The Computer Science minor prepares students to develop software solutions to real world problems. Students have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in are variety of theoretical and applied areas of Computer Science. Areas include (but are not limited to) algorithms, data science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, web/mobile development, virtual and augmented reality, databases, and networks.

Electives
A minimum of 9 credits chosen from CPTR courses in consultation with a CS academic advisor.
Additional Requirements
No course grade below a C- may apply to a major or minor in Computing. All prerequisites for CPTR courses must be passed with a minimum grade of C- before entry into the class it is required for.
Student Learning Outcomes
Students who complete this minor will be able to:
- Design and develop complex, efficient algorithms and programs while adhering to current software development best practices.
- Develop knowledge and skills in theoretical and applied areas of Computer Science.
