Biomedical Diagnostics BS

The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Diagnostics provides a comprehensive education in biomedical science, specifically designed to prepare students for graduate studies and careers in medicine, dentistry, other health professions, and biomedical research. Students wishing to complete the Medical Laboratory Science MSMLS accelerated track (bachelors and masters completed in 5 years) must take this program instead of the Medical Laboratory Science BSMLS.

Students may select courses in consultation with and by the consent of their advisors in a planned program to enhance professional preparation. Pre-medical/pre-dental students must include the following courses:

General Education (Andrews Core Experience)


Students must fulfill all Bachelor’s Degree requirements listed in the Andrews Core Experience .

Student Learning Outcomes


•    Students will be able to develop analytical thinking skills applicable to the biomedical diagnostics field.
•    Exhibit proficiency in evaluating clinical data and interpreting results, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and using statistical approaches when evaluating data.
•    Develop communication skills essential in every potential career path in the biomedical diagnostics field.
•    Develop a foundation for graduate studies in Medical Laboratory Science.
