Integrative Studies BS

The Integrative Studies program is designed to prepare students to be world changers in an increasingly complex and globally connected world. This degree completion program serves adult learners with 25 or more semester credits. Students complete an integrative core and a career-relevant concentration, gaining skills in interdisciplinary integration.

Online Delivery: This degree is offered in a primarily interactive online asynchronous format (see Global Campus  definitions). This program does not require any time on campus.

Contextualized Core - 12


In consultation with their academic advisor and with the approval of the program director, students select a cluster of 12 credits from a discipline other than their chosen concentration. Personal study goals will guide the selection of new and/or prior learning, including at least 6 upper division credits.

Choose one of the following concentrations. Electives may add additional areas of study, including any Andrews minor or undergraduate certificate.

General Education (Andrews Core Experience)


Students must fulfill all Bachelor’s Degree requirements listed in the Andrews Core Experience .

Admission Requirements


Applicants will meet the undergraduate adult admission requirements  and have earned 25 or more transferable higher education semester credits or the equivalent thereof.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Write and speak effectively about the disciplines studied and their integration in real-world contexts.  
  2. Explain how to approach a real-world problem in an interdisciplinary and ethical manner.
     
  3. Articulate and appreciate the benefits of integrative study to self and the world today.
     
  4. Apply interdisciplinary critical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world issues with creativity and consideration of biblical principles.
  5. Evaluate the integration of Christ-centered multi-disciplinary study with personal faith, life experience, and vocational calling.
     
  6. Apply the principles and practices of the chosen disciplines and their integrated study to career, faith, family, and community life and service.
