Psychology is the study of mind and behavior, including conscious and unconscious phenomena, feelings, and thoughts. Graduates of this program pursue a wide variety of career paths across many different disciplines.

Capstone - 2-4
Choose one of the following capstone options: Major Electives - 6-9
- Choose electives from available PSYC courses as needed to meet the minimum of 31 major credits
- When selecting classes, students should consider both content and skills. For example, students planning to attend graduate school in the social sciences should select PSYC433 Research Methods III (3) & PSYC434 Research Methods IV (3). Students planning to enter the workforce in a leadership role should consider SOCI431 Needs Assessment & Capacity Mapping (3) which will be accepted as a psychology major elective.
Additional Requirements
Students graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Andrews University must complete 21 credits from courses numbered 300 or above. Transfer courses taken at the lower division level will not count towards the upper division requirement. Additional Information
- Psychology students are encouraged to take PHIL224 Introduction to Philosophy to fulfill an Andrews Core Experience requirement or as a general elective.
- Field Experience and a reading knowledge of a foreign language are strongly recommended, particularly for students who plan to take graduate studies in Psychology.
