English Language and Cultural Experience Program


The English Language and Cultural Experience Program is for people who want to enhance their English communication skills through intensive instruction focused on fluency and real-world application. Complemented by immersive cultural and faith-based activities, the program fosters language confidence, personal growth, and a deeper appreciation for global diversity. The expected time to complete is 4 weeks. A certificate of participation will be given by the Department of Intensive English Programs. 

This program will include immersive trips and extracurricular activities. Tentative activities include the following:

  • Tours: Michigan’s Adventure amusement park; Chicago downtown; Michigan City outlets; Battle Creek Historic Adventist Village; and Mennonite and Amish community in Shipshewana, Indiana.
  • Afternoon activities: St. Joseph beach; Warren Dunes hike; baseball game in South Bend, Indiana; and fruit and berry picking.

Delivery: This program is only delivered on-campus.
