Wellness, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Concentration BHS


Bachelors of Health & Wellness: with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology encompasses communication disorders and nutrition. Students with this degree may be able to apply to graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. At the end of the Sophomore year students who wish may apply to the B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program.

Additional Requirements


  • A cumulative overall GPA of 2.50 and a GPA of 2.75 in major core courses is required to remain in the BHS program.
  • A grade lower than a C in major courses or cognates will not count toward either requirement.

Student Learning Outcomes


Graduates of this program will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of theoretical and conceptual knowledge of speech, language, and hearing as the components of communication across the lifespan.
  • Differentiate between various speech, language, and hearing differences and disorders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present information clearly, logically, and critically both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ethical standards as they relate to their field of study and interprofessional practice.
