Office of Undergraduate Education

The Office of Undergraduate Education is the coordinating office for undergraduate advising services and activities.  The office works closely with Undergraduate Admissions, academic department chairpersons, Student Success and individual academic advisors to make appropriate advisor assignments and to communicate this information to incoming students.

Department chairpersons provide advising guidelines outlining how each department shares advising responsibilities for their majors.  Academic deans are involved in the acceptance of, and advisor assignment for, transfer students accepted on academic probation.

Some students are accepted whose ACT/SAT scores or high school GPAs suggest a need for extra support.  These students are accepted with the understanding that for the first two semesters they will be advised by a “Success Advisor.”  They are listed in their appropriate departments’ rosters, but are advised by the UG Success Advisor in the Student Success Center or the Bridge to Success Program.  As they make academic progress, students will be transferred to major advisors.

Aaron Moushon, Head of UG Advising Services, and Hayley Sanchez, Undergradaute Advising Coordinator, are responsible for advisor assignments.

If you have questions about the advising process or about your advisees in particular, please contact the Undergradaute Office at explore@andrews.edu
