FDNT 551 - Nutrition Therapy for Disease Prevention & Management II

This course will explore the pathophysiology of selected chronic diseases that are influenced by diet. Mechanisms underlying plant based, culinary medicine nutritional approaches for prevention and reversal of chronic diseases will be discussed. Selected evidence-based approach to prevent  and reverse chronic diseases such as autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, Rheumatoid arthritis , Thyroid disorders, cancer, osteoporosis, Healthy aging, and other diet-related diseases from a culinary medicine perspective will be addressed. Strategies to plan and implement  culinary medicine programs will be reviewed.
