Automated and semi-automated discovery of interesting knowledge, patterns, generalizations, and other relevant summarized information from large amounts of data. Apply algorithmic methods for the data exploration process, instead of manual methods. Use approaches such as sequential pattern mining, cluster detection, association rule learning, and classification.
