The Psychology, Brain and Cognition major provides students with training in experimental psychology, including a mentored undergraduate research experience that can lead to presentation and publication of the original research with a faculty member.

Students who are planning to apply to medical school should expect to take an additional 20 credits of natural sciences (a second semester of General Chemistry, two semesters of Organic Chemistry, and two semesters of General Physics), and should take BCHM 421 - Biochemistry I as a major elective. Students are also advised to register for BIOL 450 instead of PSYC366 or PSYC 449 if preparing for medical school.
