In consulation with advisor. A student needs to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater in all credits used to meet the BHS degree requirements.

Fitness Education:


recommend Andrews freshmen take HLED 120  and one additional course from personal fitness, outdoor skills or team activity. Non-Andrews students take two from the three categories above.

Graduation Requirements


Students are expected to complete a professional development portfolio during the BHS Wellness program outlining their goals and accomplishments, including required hours of professional experience (based on class standing and previous experience). Successful completion of the portfolio is required for graduation.

ACE or ACSM Certification


The Department of Public Health, Nutrition & Wellness offers the option for certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in the following areas: Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, and Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist. The exams for these certifications will be held on-campus.

Total Credits for Fitness Emphasis: 60


Total Credits for Speech Pathology and Audiology Emphasis: 60
